A versatile performer, Steven Stull has lived and performed in Ithaca since 1986 and appears regularly in the area with the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, the Society for New Music, Arts at Grace and Triphammer Arts. He has appeared as soloist in over fifty performances with Syracuse Symphony, Symphony Syracuse and Symphoria. A frequent performer with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, he has been a soloist in nearly eighty performances and can be heard in their recordings Home for the Holidays and Tales from the West Virginia Hills. His other recordings include Christmas from the Heart of New YorkThe Pulse of an IrishmanOpera Cowpokes and Boyz in the Wood with the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music and Oberlin College Conservatory, Steven has appeared with Glimmerglass Opera, Syracuse Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, Artpark, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Kyrgyz State Opera, Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh, Oswego Opera, Anchorage Festival of Music, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Ithaca, Erie Philharmonic, Erie Chamber Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony, and Norwalk (CT) Symphony. Upcoming performances include narrating Copland’s A Lincoln Portrait with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in July, Curly in Oklahoma! in August with Triphammer Artsand a return to Rochester in October to perform Lorenzo Palomo’s setting of the Dr. Seuss story, The Sneetches with RPO. Steven is also a producer, director, composer, painter and photographer. In 1990 Steven co-founded the CRS Barn Studio with choreographer Jeanne Goddard. Together they present an eclectic series of music and dance performances on the CRS Growers organic vegetable farm overlooking Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY.
